Photoluminescent Tactile Warning Strips
Flooring accessories as shown in the finish schedule or listed herein as tactile warning strips shall be JOHNSONITE® SAFE-T-FIRST™ PHOTOLUMINESCENT TACTILE WARNING STRIPS and be designated by style PTW-XX. The photoluminescent tactile warning strips shall comply with the dimensional requirements as outlined in ANSI Standard #A117.1-1986. The photoluminescent tactile warning strip shall have continuous 3/4" (19mm) wide bands of photoluminescent material co-extruded into the surface, and the elevations of the surface shall alternate with the base color of the tactile warning strip. The photoluminescent material shall have a photometric value of not less than 3-1/2 hours when tested in accordance with DIN Specification #67510-1. The photoluminescent tactile warning strip shall have a width of 12" (30.48cm), a coiled length of 50' (15.24m), and in color _________ (specify by color number and name). For warranty to apply, use Johnsonite #945 Contact Bond Adhesive; #915 Acrylic Adhesive; #970 Two-Part Epoxy Adhesive; #975 Two-Part Urethane Adhesive; or #996 Two-Part Epoxy Adhesive for installation. |
